Kaizer  Chiefs are not planning anything special for the days leading up to the Telkom Knockout final‚ believing routine is the best to hone their skills before next Wednesday’s match against Mamelodi Sundowns in Durban.

“We have been working really hard at Naturena and we will continue so until we leave for Durban on Tuesday‚” said the club’s football manager Bobby Motaung on Wednesday.

Unlike opponents Mamelodi Sundowns‚ who have put together a battery of test games against various opponents to keep up their match practice over the last week‚ Chiefs are restricting themselves to one game a week.

“Last week it was Mpumalanga Black Aces and on Tuesday we played AmaTuks. Not more than that. Our coach works in a different way.”

Chiefs will keep up their training at home until departure and will not be going into camp early for the final.

“We have a busy week next week where the guys will be away from Tuesday to Sunday so there is no point in going into camp before. After we play the final in Durban we will be going straight to Cape Town for the league match against Wits.”
