Rock ’n roll is on the cards tomorrow night as the Jimmy Green Machine will be rocking out at Legends Showcase Venue in Berea.

Smashing tunes from across the ages will be belted out in what should be a top night of head-banging tracks.

The Jimmy Green Machine is a rock ’n roll band playing covers from the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s.

The band was formed in Cape Town 10 years ago as a garage band, and the members are now scattered between Cape Town, Johannesburg and the Eastern Cape.

Every now and again the urge to play a kick arises and this is such an occasion.

“We are a fierce rock ’n roll band, the older you are the more you will like what we play,” band member Terry Faul said.

The Jimmy Green Machine has performed at the Waterbury Music Festival at Kidd’s Beach as well as at other charity gigs on the East Coast.

The band features David Green on lead guitar and Faul on lead vocals, guitar and saxophone, with Basil Kotze and Chris Faul in the back line.

Some of the music you can expect to hear on the night are tracks from Jimmy Hendrix, Eric Clapton, JJ Cale, Van Halen, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Status Quo, ZZ Top and many more.

Tickets are R80 per person and can be obtained at Lee Gold Music or at the door.

Things are set to kick-off from 7pm tomorrow night.
