Warm up with Winter Wonderland family fun

Here's this week’s list of cool things happening around town.

Winter Wonderland

THE Winter Wonderland is taking place this Saturday at Beacon Bay Crossing from 9am. The family day fun will feature a market day, kids entertainment, beer tent, fashion shows, wine-tasting; go-karting and a fun run/walk. Visitors are encouraged to donate all unwanted winter clothing in one of the drop-off boxes, (situated at the centre and along the race course) which will then be donated to a charity of choice. Ceramic artist workshop

HIGHLY acclaimed ceramic artist John Shirley will be doing a workshop on glazing and mould making at CVD framers and Art Gallery, 12 Jarvis Road, Berea this Saturday. Cost R400 for CSA members, R550 for non-members. For bookings, contact cvdframers@gmail.com or (043)726-1449.

Dance the night away

COME party and dance to great music with Quentin at Comrades Club tomorrow night from 8.15pm till late. Great kitchen and bar open from 6pm. Entry is R10.

Boxing tournament

XABA Promotions and Events will be hosting its annual Celebrations of Tata Nelson Mandela in a world-class boxing tournament tomorrow at the East London International Convention Centre. Entry is R150.

Meet friends

DANCE and meet good friends at the EL Bowling Club on Saturday night with live music by Patrick and Shannon from 8pm till late. Entry is R25.

Sean Munnick live

SOUNDS of Summer presents Sean Munnick at Buccaneers from 8pm this Saturday. Pre-sold tickets cost R50 and R70 at the door. For bookings, contact 043-743-5171.

lAWARD-WINNING rapper Emtee is making his way to East London next week Friday. He will be joined by the legendary Zola 7 at the Absa Stadium.

lTHE Jikeleza Festival at Inkwenkwezi Game Reserve along the East Coast Resorts Road takes place from August 5 to 7. There will be entertainment on the main stage thoughout the weekend, as well as fashion shows. More than 100 stalls including handcrafted items, clothing, jewellery, woodwork and food There will also be an art exhibition in the main Inkwenkwezi venue. Craft beer tent, tea garden, activities for the kids and many more.

lMULTI-TALENTED group, The Soil is coming to East London next month for one night only at the Orient Theatre.
