Body of homeless woman found in EL

THE body of a homeless woman was found in Southernwood, East London, earlier today.

A group of women, who witnessed the woman’s death, said they had called the provincial health department’s ambulance services and the police, and when three hours had passed without any response they resorted to alerting the Dispatch of the incident.

Dudu Ndarana called the Dispatch shortly before 3pm saying a homeless woman had died at Number 7, St George’s Road.

When a Dispatch team arrived at the scene, a group of women were standing by and pointed to the veranda of what she said was a construction business where the body lay on a blanket, half clothed with a jersey by her feet.

Ndarana, who works close to where the body was, said the woman was roughly over the age of 50.

Police and the health department only responded after the Dispatch contacted them.
