Dig deep today, Bucks, dig deep

Getting hold of Mthatha Bucks coach Velile Dyaloyi on his mobile phone is not an easy task of late.

This is because “Veza”, when not in a training session, is busy in endless meetings the club is having with its players, trying to motivate them to dig deep for results as the fight to avoid relegation continues.

“It is sad that the once mighty Swallows are now at risk of being relegated further to the third tier,” said a disappointed Mendu.

“I truly cannot fault the players because as someone who was once there I know for a fact that the problem is management, which was the case during our time.

“Failure to arrest mismanagement then has led to the situation we see today.”

At the other end of the table, leaders Baroka FC, who are on 46 points, host Santos at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium today, while second-placed Witbank Spurs welcome AmaZulu at the Puma Rugby Stadium. — zingisam@dispatch.co.za
