Man removed from voting station for heckling Motlanthe

The local government elections have not been without their drama‚ even in the leafy suburb of Killarney.

An unidentified man had to be escorted from the Killarney Country Club after heckling former president Kgalema Motlanthe.

The man‚ in his mid-twenties‚ continuously screamed‚ “how do you sleep at night‚ sir” as Motlanthe addressed the media before casting his vote on Wednesday morning.

One ANC official‚ who was volunteering at the voting station‚ was heard asking the man how he slept at night.

When asked for his reaction to the comments‚ Motlanthe said it was the man’s right to be critical of the government and have an opinion‚ which he respected.
