“IEC needs to explain how Mmusi voted for Mandela at age 14 … we need answers‚” Tshwete tweeted on Monday.

A DA statement said Maimane will on Tuesday respond to the “ANC’s ‘I voted for Madiba’ attacks”‚ suggesting they were due to the “manipulation of his speech at the DA’s final Phetogo rally in Dobsonville over the weekend”.

“At the party’s Phetogo Rally in Dobsonville over the weekend the leader reaffirmed the DA’s commitment to Tata Madiba’s vision and values.

“In 1999‚ the leader voted for an ANC which still espoused Tata Madiba’s values; these values have since become non-existent in Zuma’s ANC‚ which is now synonymous with racism‚ corruption‚ undermining of the Constitution‚ and a failed economy‚” the statement said. – Tiso Black Star Group Digital
