EC man who killed his ex-wife dies in hospital

An Eastern Cape man, who shot and killed his ex-wife two weeks ago, has died.

Mziyanda Mqingwana, 60, died in hospital on Saturday, the day his wife Nomahomba Tsako was buried. He died from injuries he sustained when he turned the gun on himself after shooting and killing his wife.

Mqingwana was under police guard at Frere Hospital’s ICU since the shooting.

The news of his death was announced during the funeral service of his wife at Dam-dam village outside Ngqushwa.

Nomahomba Tsako, a teacher at Makinana Primary in Duncan Village, died at her Amalinda home moments after she was shot.

The Dispatch earlier reported that Mqingwana arrived at his ex-wife’s home on October 20, locked the doors and shot her. He took pictures of her body, sending them to colleagues and relatives.
