The ANC chief whip in the Bhisho legislature has lamented what he calls “unfortunate” divisions in his party’s caucus.
Chief whip Fundile Gade received an 11th-hour invitation to send the portfolio committee heads to a senior management meeting hosted by premier Phumulo Masualle at the East London International Convention Centre yesterday.
It was on Wednesday night that Masualle invited all the heads to a senior management meeting at the ICC yesterday, against Gade’s advice that the event be shelved until the ruling party had held its own caucus to prepare.
