ANC has failed us – voters

Eastern Cape Premier Phumulo Masualle was on the receiving end of the wrath of disillusioned Veeplaas residents‚ who told him on Sunday the African National Congress must pull itself together as Nelson Mandela Bay residents were fed-up with the slow pace of service delivery.

Shoddily built RDP houses and unemployment were two of the biggest problems‚ they told Masualle and Bay mayor Danny Jordaan during a lightning visit to the area.

With by-elections coming up on Wednesday‚ Masualle led a yellow blitz through Kani Street‚ urging residents to vote for the ANC.

The group included the ANC’s provincial executive committee members‚ Bay councillors and branch members.

The by-election in Ward 30 comes after the death of former ANC councillor Mike Tofile.

The ANC has fielded Sizakele Mnqamisa as its candidate.
