Jayde murder case postponed until December

Murder-accused Christopher Panayiotou made a brief appearance in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court on Monday morning‚ where his case was postponed to December 2 for a possible high court date.

Panayiotou appeared alongside alleged hitman Sizwe Vumazonke.

It is understood Panayiotou will be requisitioned back to court before December 2 for yet another bail application.

Panayiotou‚ 28‚ and Vumazonke‚ 30‚ are charged with the murder of Panayiotou’s wife‚ Jayde‚ 29‚ whose body was found on a remote road near Uitenhage.

She was abducted at their Kabega townhouse complex in Port Elizabeth in April – a crime which made national headlines.

Their last appearance in court was on 13 August‚ where the case was postponed until Monday.

Alleged middleman Luthando Siyoli‚ 31‚ is not expected to appear in court as all the charges against him were withdrawn.
