Motorist spots cow head being lifted over a fence

Four suspects were arrested for stock theft after being caught red-handed near Berlin outside East London on today.

Farmer Vaughn Ahlschlager said a friend who was driving on the N2 had informed him about what appeared to be stock theft in progress when he was saw two men carrying a cow’s head over the fence on the highway.

“The eyewitness than called me and we gave chase‚” said Ahlschlager.

The farmer‚ who immediately called the police‚ said they caught up with the suspects near Fort Jackson in Mdantsane.

At the scene‚ the cow’s carcasses was lying on the side of the road.

Police are working on the case.
