The month of July is approaching and there’s going to be another electricity price increase. How many units are we going to get for our money? Definitely far less than before and one wonders how will we cope in the near future.
The middle class will definitely become illegal izinyokas too – with the high electricity prices.
Why can’t we as consumers not directly buy our electricity from Eskom like people from the rural and outskirt areas? They buy directly from the supplier and are getting far more units than residents buying from BCM.
Do we as consumers need a middleman to obtain the important source of our livelihood? Looking at the electricity tariffs of the July increase and fluctuating rand, the most economical alternative would be to buy directly from Eskom.
