The report “Sterilisation relief for villagers” (DD, June 22) refers.
Good job, Community Veterinary Service Southern Africa (CVSSA)! Please visit Mdantsane, the second biggest township in South Africa. We have an overflow of mongrels which are a risk to both humans and pets.
I get disturbed a lot when I go for a jog and stray dogs give chase.
The bodies of dogs also lie dead all over the township roads, having been hit by cars. Hence I really feel we need sterilisation to control the breeding.
I cannot afford a vet, but I would definitely sterilise my dogs if I could have this opportunity. — Bulelani Matsheku, Mdantsane
