A litle less than six years ago, the Daily Dispatch ran a Valentine’s Day competition with Baron’s as the main sponsor. Baron’s at the time had their shop in King’s Mall, Gonubie.
My wife decided to enter a little poem I had written for her into the competition and she won first prize.
The Dispatch also did a followup story afterwards, about couples who had met over the internet, since we fell in that group.
When the Dispatch published the results on its blog, one gentleman commented that it was all good and well at the time, but wait until we were married four or five years. Well, this is just to say to that gent, he was quite right. It is no longer the same. It is so much, much better. My wife is now not only in my heart, but also in the air I breathe. I love her more and more! — Martin Grobler, via e-mail
