Tender portal right step

I am moved by the strides our government is making attempting to make South Africa work for all.

I am pleased with the creation of the e-tender portal for all government tenders. It is well meant. Though this is very helpful in preventing corruption, it will however exclude many small businesses from participating.

Many of these businesses are registered by people who have no access to the internet and a limited knowledge of technology.

These people registered businesses as a means to get out of poverty. I am hoping that our government will find ways to reach out to these small businesses. — Thembekile Kanise, Mthatha
