Malema accuses ANC of buying t-shirts and food parcels with state money

Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema told the community of Kanana‚ Hammanskraal‚ on Thursday that they must stop falling for the ANC’s tricks of “bribing” them with t-shirts and food parcels.

“People should not love t-shirts more than the future of their children. will go and bribe our people with food parcels as if our people only eat after five years‚” said Malema.

“People are living in a dire state and the ANC takes your money and buys you useless items‚” he added.

This comes as Malema accused the African National Congress using old tactics to lobby people to vote for them in the upcoming local government elections. The red berets leader accused the ANC of being desperate to get votes and also accused them for using taxpayer money to bribe them.

“There is no money that belongs to the ANC‚ there is no money that belongs to Jacob Zuma. That money belongs to you‚ the needy people. Instead‚ they take taxpayers’ money and buy you t-shirts that don’t even last‚” added Malema.

The EFF leader was visiting Hammanskraal’s Ward 49‚ in Tshwane‚ which saw violent forced removals earlier this year.

He arrived hours after he had been expected. Hundreds of people gathered for hours in the sun‚ where they vowed not to leave until Malema had addressed them.
