Festive sounds usher in holiday season

THE festive season has started and the fun won’t stop until 2015. Here’s this week’s list of things to do.

Black Coffee party

POPULAR DJ Black Coffee will be bringing his latest show to East London’s E-lounge tomorrow. Tickets cost R100 and are available at the door.

Jesse Clegg in town

Fresh picnic

THE Fresher than Fresh Picnic is taking place this Sunday at the Mthatha Sport Field. The event will feature DJs Volo da Saint, Tino, C-Nu and Soul Imbiza. Entry at the gate is R70 and VIP tickets cost R200. To get your car inside the field pay R300, and a maximum of six people will be allowed in.

Watershed back in town

ROCK band Watershed is returning to East London this Sunday for a one-night show at The Venue@Hemingways. Tickets at R120 are available at Computicket.

Side by Side tour

SAMA nominated singers Josie Field and Laurie Levine are bringing their Side By Side tour to East London this Sunday. They will perform at Tea in the Trees in Chintsa from 11am. Tickets costs R25 at the door.

Lumo party

FUNKTION kicks off the holidays tomorrow with a massive party at Xtreme Valley, Beacon Bay Crossing. Entry is R40 and tickets are available from Johnno’s Skate Shop in Frere Road or at the door. For more details, contact 083-555-8830.

Music afternoon

ONE Shushu Day Movement will be hosting an afternoon of music at 9 Miles in Vincent this Sunday featuring Port Elizabeth duo Umle Sounds and East London’s Msaki & Friends. Tickets cost R70 and will be available at the door from 2.30pm.

Summer picnic

The Head Honcho Summer Picnic takes place this Saturday at the Buffalo Park Cricket Stadium. Rapper KO will be among the artists performing. Pre-sold tickets are R100 at Computicket, otherwise R150 at the gate.

Christmas market

Dozi in town
