Festive summer fun hits E Cape

The fun has only begun and there’s more in store this festive season. Check out this week’s list of cool things happening.

Mnquma Jazz Fest

MNQUMA Municipality will be hosting a jazz, arts and culture festival next Tuesday at Butterworth Dam from 12pm. The event features artists such as; Simphiwe Dana, Zakes Bantwini, Ifani, Solomon Willy, Berita and many more. General tickets cost R50 and VIP is R250. Tickets are available at Computicket outlets nationwide.

Vinyl Junkie show

CATCH the One Night Stand with the Vinyl Junkie on Monday night at Bar Kulcha. Featured junkies include; DJ Tulz, Tek, Justice, Agent Lungaz and Lundi. Entry is R50.

While Picnic Party

SOULFIRE presents: ‘The While Picnic Party” featuring a live performance by Sizwe Vena, DJs such as Tulz, PK, Natz, Kanetive and XSoul will be playing. The event will be held at the Mthatha Swimming Pool next Tuesday. Entry is R50.

 Kids activity village

FROM this Saturday until December 23, Vincent Park will be having a kids activity village in the dome from 10am to 2pm. Lots of activities and fun to be had by the children.

Glow party

FUNKTION is celebrating the festive season with a glow party at Barcode, Beacon Bay Crossing next Monday. Four top DJs will be playing trendy electronic dance music. Entry is R30 before 10pm, R50 after that. For more info, contact 082-921-4565

Ossewa back in town

DYNAMIC group, DJ Ossewa return to Boeretroos Theatre this Saturday at 7.30pm. Tickets cost R100, for bookings call 072-225-7120.

 Boy band sounds

BOY band, ADAM bring their unique sound to East London’s Boeretroos Theatre next week Monday at 8pm. Tickets to this show can be booked by phoning Lara on 072-225-7120, and cost R100 and R120 per person.

Adam Tas show

AFTER his sold out show earlier this year, Adam Tas, will treat East London to another explosive show. Adam Tas will perform at The Boeretroos Theatre next Tuesday night at 7.30 pm. Music Nights Concert

THE ECAVC will be launching the Eastern Cape Music Nights Concert on Sunday at Velvet Jazz Lounge. The launch will feature Siphokazi Mohapi, Msaki and Thandokazi.

Suit and Thigh

DO NOT miss the Suit and Thigh party this Saturday at E-lounge. The event features DJs such as SOS, Muzero, Jesse James, Nature, Cooley S and more. Special live performances by AK and Blaqphamas. Tickets cost R50 and VIP is R100. There’s prize money for the best-dressed lady.

Dance all night long

DANCE the night away at the East London Bowling Club on Saturday from 8pm. Entry is R20.

Gospel show

A GOSPEL show will be hosted at Mdantsane Indoor Sports Centre on Sunday from 1pm. The show features artists such as Malibongwe Gcwabe, Pumla, Cece, Lusizo and others, performing on the day. Tickets cost R60 for adults and R30 for kids.
