An East London woman was rushed to hospital in a critical condition when two vehicles crashed on the R102 near Mdantsane prison at around 7.30am on Tuesday morning.
Eastern Cape Arrive Alive spokesman Tshepo Machaea said while the exact cause of the accident is still unknown‚ it seems that one of the vehicles failed to stop‚ ploughing into the other.
"One of the occupants‚ who was driving a Corolla Toyota‚ was not hurt‚" he said. "The female driver of a Corsa‚ however‚ was critically injured and was rushed to hospital. The extent of her injuries are still not known."
