Church’s cultish practices labelled inhumane, illegal

They say it was an instruction from the Holy Spirit and that they had informed the village’s sub-headman about the church and the painting.

But elderly villagers who are members of a sub-headman’s committee have denied this.

One of the leaders, Philile Mancoba, said the painting had been there for many years but it had been small.

That was until they received word from the Holy Spirit to go and make it bigger, he said.

Asked how they managed to climb down a cliff, he said: “We used ropes.”
