Athol Trollip will on Tuesday seek to bolster his case for being the next mayor of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro when he delivers his own State of the Metro Address.
A Democratic Alliance statement said it‚ “led capably by Athol Trollip‚ has walked side by side with the people of this metro‚ gaining a sound understanding of the greatest challenges‚ and the required solutions”.
Today’s address‚ it said‚ “will outline a comprehensive plan to turn the Bay into a world-class municipality‚ against the backdrop of current and ongoing issues”.
The party claimed to have “recorded tens of thousands of registrations” of new voters for the local government elections over the weekend.
