Tbo Touch slams Metro FM R15 million reports

Breaking his silence on his suspension from Metro FM for the first time‚ Tbo Touch has told Tiso Black Star Group Entertainment that the allegations of him costing the SABC R15 million are “100% not true.”

Sunday World () reported that the DJ‚ who presents The Touchdown on Metro FM‚ allegedly cost the public broadcaster R15 million in advertising because he “refused to read a Hyundai advert on air.”

“All allegations in the above mentioned article published in the Sunday World are false and defamatory. Litigation has since been initiated against Sunday World.”

The paper reported that there was an altercation between Touch and his producer and also that he put the phone down on his boss. Touch refused to comment further saying he was focusing on his upcoming Touch Invitational Golf Day taking place at Steyn City on Monday.

Sunday World editor Abdul Milazi confirmed that he had no knowledge of legal action. “We have not received any communication from Tbo Touch or his lawyers regarding the article. We stand by our story.”

The SABC has refused to comment on the matter‚ saying it is an issue between the station and its employee.
