Musician Zakes Bantwini has rubbished allegations made by a KZN man‚ who claims to be the musician’s biological father.
Rumours surrounding Zakes’ biological father first emerged last week with the musician coming out strongly against the claims.
In an interview with Drum magazine Zakes has once again shrugged off the man’s claims.

“Unfortunately my mother passed away in 2007 and she’s not around to answer these questions. I have three siblings and I’m the second one. We all share the same father. None of us were born out of marriage‚” he said.
Zakes went on to suggest that the man may be after fame.
“I’ve worked very hard for who I am. And now that I’m up there‚ he pops out of nowhere and claims to be my dad. No not at my expense‚” he added.

However‚ Thabani Mbatha is determined to prove that Zakes is his son and told the magazine that he is even willing to do a DNA test to prove it.
The KZN truck driver claims to have met Zakes’ mom in the 1980s and to have helped support the musician financially when he was growing up.
