9:29: Beacon Bay traffic officer battles to say which roads are blocked or open. 

9:04: Business owners vent their frustration against a traffic officer at Beacon Bay Crossing.

9:07am: Tyres billow smoke under Scenary Park bridge.

9:10am Rubber bullets and teargas cannisters were fired at taxi protesters at the entrance to Scenary Park.

9:16am Pupils get a ride to school in a police helicopter.

9:20: Cars force their way through a blockade on the N2 between Mdantsane and East London
