SABC’s Chief Operating Officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng says there are no protests in Pretoria. No‚ not really.
A fake twitter account created to ridicule Motsoeneng on Tuesday posted a series of tweets related to the protests in Tshwane‚ which are attributed to him.
“We ask all South Africans to resist using social media as a news source. SABC is the only media house for honest‚ accurate & truthful news‚” Motsoeneng is also quoted as saying.
“Disgruntled SABC viewers burn buses & property in Tshwane over ‘Days of Our Lives’ cancellation & NOT due to ANC mayoral issues.”
Areas affected by the protests are Atteridgeville‚ Mamelodi‚ Soshanguve and Hammanskraal.
