Internationally-acclaimed soulful jazz vocalist Monique Bingham is coming to East London next month to perform at the Mzantsi Cultural Festival.

The United States-born singer is known for smash hit singles such as You Me World, Take Me To My Love and Pride. She has worked with the likes of Black Coffee, Kerri Chandler, Jellybean Benitez and Karizma.

The event is organised by Posega Lifestyle, which for the past two years has been hosting ‘All White Spring Affair’ events in East London.

Posega Lifestyle’s Natasha Mgqibelo said they were going bigger and better this year.

In previous years, they presented the likes of Boity, DJ Euphonik, DJ Dimples, Jessica Nkosi, Tumi, Major League and DJ Milkshake.

To make things different this year, Mgqibelo said they had included the element of culture in the event as they wanted to celebrate the heritage and different cultures of South Africa.

Other national artists who will perform on the day include, Msaki, Mobi Dixon, Ma E, Tresor, Sphe and Naves.

The Mzantsi Cultural Festival takes place on October 29 at the Buffalo Park Cricket Stadium.

General tickets cost R150 and are available at TicketPro (CNA, Edgars, Caltex and Engen Garage). VIP tickets cost R500. — poliswap@dispatch.co.za
