Mayor under fire at Imbizo

High levels of unemployment, unreliable rubbish collection, housing problems, the naming of Mdantsane streets and poor maintenance of cemeteries were but a few of the burning issues that Buffalo City Metro executive mayor Xola Pakati and his delegates were bombarded with when he took his mayoral Imbizo to Mdantsane yesterday.

While Pakati promised that millions of rands would be spent on issues, including housing projects, electrification of shacks, road construction and sports development, residents from Nxarhuni, Eluxolweni and Emsintsini villages around Mdantsane were not impressed as Pakati failed to mention any projects in their areas.
