Eskom chair Baldwin Ngubane has pledged his support for his CEO Brian Molefe‚ who was implicated in the Public Protector’s state of capture report.

Ngubane said the board welcomed the report but members were disappointed that the Public Protector had not called them in for interviews as she promised.
He said National Treasury had taken piles of documents of Eskom contracts and did not see anything wrong.
“We support our CEO and the executive for the good work they have done‚” said a visibly unhappy Ngubane.
He made the comments during the presentation of Eskom’s financial results for the six months ended September 30 2016.
He announced that another briefing would be held tomorrow to respond to the state capture report.
