KSD to probe its R5.2m wasteful expenditure

The King Sabata Dalindyebo municipal council has mandated its Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) to investigate R5.2-million fruitless and wasteful expenditure incurred by the municipality in the 2015-16 financial year.

The decision was taken at a recent council meeting in which KSD mayor Dumani Zozo presented a report on the expenditure asking council to write off the debt.

The Dispatch is in possession of the mayor’s report on the shock spend, attributed to interest charged by service providers.
