Cyril Ramaphosa’s presidential campaign has received a boost with the Young Communist League (YCL) throwing its weight behind him.
The league will use its Right to Learn campaign event at the East London City Hall today to launch its Ramaphosa programme.
The event will be addressed by ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe and SACP second deputy general secretary Solly Mapaila.
Both are associated with the ANC grouping that prefers deputy president Ramaphosa, who is up against outgoing African Union commission chairwoman Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma to take over as ANC president.
