Tears as cop acquitted of jail cell rape

Port Elizabeth policeman Sergeant Terence Franks broke down and sobbed loudly when the Grahamstown High Court yesterday acquitted him of raping a woman in the Motherwell police cells in 2011.

A police officer has been cleared on a charge of rape.
