Man robbed of R30k at BCM market

A Peddie fresh produce store owner was yesterday robbed at gunpoint of R30 000 while waiting for the Buffalo City Metro Fresh Produce Market in Wilsonia to open.

Five armed men allegedly approached Yan Ming Yan, 41, while he was sitting at the loading zone at about 5.50am and robbed the businessman of R30 000, a belt and a jacket.

Yan was going to use the money to stock up for his shop when the market opened at 6am.
