The scheduled power outage in Gonubie today is going ahead as originally planned.
Work started this morning at 5am and is expected to finish by 6pm this evening.
The reason for the outage is so that Eskom can perform maintenance on their Greenacres substation. BCM will also be carrying out maintenance on their network.
There is a possibility of power returning at any point between these prescribed times.
For this reason, BCM has appealed to residents to disconnect and turn off all appliances which are non-essential so as to avoid any damages which may occur when power is restored.
