As South Africa marked the beginning of Women’s Month, a 26year-old woman lost her life, allegedly at the hands of her husband, yesterday morning in Dutywa.
Police moved swiftly and arrested the 28year-old husband just a few hours after the death of his wife at Mpuku location in Chizela village in Dutywa.
The killing is believed to have taken place after midnight yesterday.
The woman, who cannot be named because her next of kin have not been notified of her death, sustained multiple upper-body injuries.
The motive for the killing is unknown, police spokesman Captain Jackson Manatha said yesterday.
