Two men arrested in connection with the murder of Raymond Mhlaba Local Municipality council speaker Thozama Njobe
abandoned their bail bid in the Fort Beaufort Magistrate’s Court today
The two men -- Mziyanda Ketani, 29, and Sindiso Wece, 30, -- did not state their reason for abandoning their formal bail application.
The announcement was made by state prosecutor Siebert Baartman while addressing magistrate Luzuko Njokwana.
“Your worship the applicant have decided to abandon their bail application. Can we please postpone the matter to September 18 for further investigation,” Baartman said.
Ketani’s private attorney Asanda Mgangatho stood up and confirmed to the magistrate that he was abandoning his bail application.
