Man held in R2M EL drug bust

East London police arrested a 45-year-old man on Saturday after he was found in possession of drugs worth about R2-million at his Sohco flat in Amalinda.

The man is in police custody, where he will remain until his expected appearance before the East London Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.

  • Scenery Park police are searching for a man who has been missing since Friday morning.

Nkosana Dlala, 31, is said to have last been seen by his boss on Friday at 6am when he gave Dlala a vehicle in which to transport people around East London.

  • A 13-year-old girl was raped, a 54-year-old man shot dead and two young men stabbed to death in various parts of the Eastern Cape on the weekend.

Police said a young Willowvale girl had been raped on Saturday while sleeping in her home in Upper Gwadu village.

A man, 54, was shot and killed in Ngoma village in Willowvale on Saturday.

Police arrested a 28-year-old man in Tsolo following the fatal stabbing of a another man in Tsolo on Saturday night.
