Two of five missing people sought by Eastern Cape police have been found dead.
Yesterday Port Elizabeth police said a decomposed body, believed to be 37-year-old Unathi Bless, who went missing from that metro’s Greenacres shopping mall on August 31, was found dumped in Motherwell’s Kamvelihle township.
Mount Road police spokeswoman Colonel Priscilla Naidu said postmortem results would confirm the identity of the person.
Naidu said three men had been arrested in connection with murder, kidnapping and robbery.
“The body was decomposed beyond recognition, but the DNA results will tell if we got the right person. The suspects will appear in court soon,” Naidu said, adding the body was found last week.
lIn another incident, the body of Buyisile Yiliwe, 70, who went missing from his home in Ndevana outside King William’s Town, was found on the banks of Laing Dam by a herder.
King William’s Town police spokeswoman, Captain Siphokazi Mawisa, said an inquest docket had been opened following the incident.
Mawisa said the elderly man was found with an orange rope fastened around his waist on August5.
lOne of the people still missing is a police clerk who was based at the Cambridge police station. Captain Mluleki Mbi said Thembakazi Amelia Spayile, 37, last reported for duty in June.
Mbi said a case of a missing person was opened by concerned SAPS colleagues and Spayile’s family after weeks went by without a trace.

lPolice are still searching for Masixole Maji, 30, from Bhisho’s Ngqika Avenue in Lolo Park.
King William’s Town police spokeswoman Captain Siphokazi Mawisa said Maji was last seen on June 17.
“He left his home without saying where he was going and never returned. Preliminary investigation was done, with no success,” said Mawisa.
Mawisa said Maji had been wearing a black jacket, black jeans and grey takkies.

lThe search is still on for Sipho Mnyani, 78, who went missing from his home, Khalana Location, Tamara, outside King William’s Town on August 3.
He suffers from a mental disability.
Mawisa said Mnyani was last seen walking around the township before disappearing.
Preliminary investigations were done, but with no success.
“The K9 and mounted search units are still searching the surrounding areas and in the bushes. He was last seen wearing a black tracksuit with different colours in front, a green beanie and grey takkies.”
