Couple stabbed to death

A Mthatha couple was stabbed to death in the early hours of yesterday by their tenant, who was later hunted down and beaten to death by an angry mob.

The couple’s one-year-old daughter, who was also stabbed by the tenant at Mandela Park informal settlement, was rushed to hospital.

Mthatha police spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela said the tenant, 35, and his landlord, 25, had quarrelled over rent.
