Zuma appoints three judges to high courts

President Jacob Zuma yesterday announced that he had appointed three judges in the Eastern Cape to different high courts, including the judge president of the Grahamstown High Court.

Justice Selby Mbenenge was appointed as judge president of the Eastern Cape Division of the High Court with effect from November 7, while Ndumiso Patrick Jaji was appointed as a judge in the Eastern Cape Division of the High Court with effect from November 1.

Mbulelo Standford Jolwana received the nod as judge of the Eastern Cape Local Division of the High Court in Mthatha, also effectively from Wednesday. The appointments were welcomed by lawyers’ associations.
