Drunk driver fired at cops, lied to court

A man faces up to 15 years behind bars after being found guilty of shooting at Buffalo City Metro traffic officers at the East London beachfront.

Liyabona Nombewu was charged with five counts, including attempted murder, resisting arrest, reckless and negligent driving, escaping from custody and handling a firearm while under the influence.

He pleaded not guilty.
