Woman missing after she went for a jog

Komani police and the Xhamlashe family are looking for 25-year-old Nonelela Kambi, who was last seen by her family when she went for a jog before 5am on Tuesday.

Her father, Sipho Xhamlashe, said the family was surprised that Kambi, who had never jogged before, decided to go for a run that morning.

“She left her phone and took her tablet which does not have a SIM card. When she did not come back we were worried and reported the matter to the police,” he said.

Xhamlashe said his daughter was wearing blue pants, a white vest and a leather jacket.

“We have searched for her everywhere and also the police searched all around Hillside in Blue Rise and the mountain,” he said.

Captain Namhla Mdleleni urged anyone with information to contact the police on (04)808-6029 or toll free 086-001-0111, or Xhamlashe on 064-372-5729. —thembiles@dispatch.co.za
