A female colleague of the late Amathole District Municipality employee whose body was found at the Vincent Park basement parking last year appeared before the East London Magistrate’s Court this morning.
Family, friends and colleagues of the late Thandi Mlambo packed the court waiting to hear whether her alleged killer would be granted bail or not.
The 40-year-old suspect was Mlambo’s colleague at the municipality’s Chiselhurst office in East London.
When the suspect appeared from the holding cells, the family broke down in tears.
Wearing a flowered red and white dress, the suspect seemed confused as to what was happening in court.
Speaking to the Dispatch on the sidelines after the court had adjourned for a lunch-break, colleagues described the accused as an unfriendly and grumpy person who had no friends at the office.
