A Gupta brother and one of their business associates have been arrested by the Hawks‚ sources said.
The arrests follow raids on the family’s Saxonwold compound in Johannesburg early on Wednesday morning by heavily armed Hawks officers.
The officers were raiding a series of houses and properties across the city as part of a search and seizure operation.
Hawks officials are searching for documents and electronic devices with information pertaining to the Estina dairy project.
Hawks spokesman Hangwani Mulaudzi was not immediately available for comment.
