Two Buffalo City Metro stakeholders consultative meetings for geographical name changes meant to take place today in Kidd's Beach and East London have been postponed to February 26.
The meetings were scheduled to take place at the Kidd's Beach Hall and East London City Hall at 10am and 4pm. The meetings were postponed this week to Monday, February 26, same time.
BCM spokeswoman Bathandwa Diamond said the meetings were postponed because the members of the District Geographical Name Change Council, Provincial Geographical Name Change Council were called by the South African Geographical Name Change Council to sit and discuss the process of the name change in Grahamstown today.
