Another bus accident on the East Cape roads has claimed lives of four people.
This brings to 17, a total number of people who died on the provincial roads today.
The Translux bus traveling from East London to Johannesburg rolled on the road killing four people instantly.
Department of health spokesman Sizwe Kupelo said the accident happened between Komani and Jamestown this evening.
“Multiple injuries have been reported including five passengers in a critical condition,” he said.
Kupelo said other passengers are still trapped inside the bus.
Earlier, 13 people died when the Vaal Maseru bus traveling from Welkom in the Free State was involved in an accident on the R58 between Ngcobo and Elliot.
