Unease at the battle of wills

The husband of a former Sanlam employee, who drafted wills for clients, will inherit his stepfather’s valuable Gonubie home despite the fact that his wife first drafted three apparently fraudulent wills in which he was the main beneficiary.

According to a judgment of the Grahamstown High Court, Dirk Stoffberg will inherit the Gonubie home of his stepfather, Stuart Bruce Doveton Helps, after his wife, Lesley, drew up a will in which Dirk is named as the beneficiary.
