Katlego Danke is a firm believer of a lifetime having multiple 'endings and beginnings' and that's why acting alongside great actors to tell a story of healing was just what the doctor ordered for her.

Acting in the upcoming film Farewell Ella Bella reminded Katlego that an ending of a chapter is not always a bad thing

"Every year for me and every other month something happens in your life that forces you to either rise up from your old self to become something else or to step out of yourself to allow you to grow. It's a vital part of life and it's not easy to let go but old chapters need to close all the time to allow new chapters to begin."

Katlego said through the ups and downs she's had‚ it has helped her to learn to allow other things and other parts of her to die.

"There will be a cross road in everybody's life. A point where you have to ask yourself‚ 'what brought me to this point?'‚ 'what do I have to get through this moment' and 'how can I move forward?'"

The film has been in the works for quite some time and Katlego explained that everyone thought it better to wait for perfection before giving it to the public.

It revolves around disillusioned waitress‚ her father’s death sparks the determination to leave behind her stagnant life as she embarks on a journey of self-discovery to Johannesburg that forces her to confront her past and lay her father to rest so she may realise her future.

The actress plays a small but vital role of a 24-year-old woman who steps in to shed some light on why Sello Maake ka-Ncube's character is so peculiar.

Katlego said playing the character reminded her of the fact that every person deserves to have another set of eyes to help them see things differently.

"My character comes in to say to Ella‚ this is the kind of man you are dealing with. This is what he's done and this is why he's the man he is‚ so don't expect X‚ Y or Z from him. Don't have stars in your eyes about him because at the end of the day he's just a man."

The film has a stellar cast with acting great Sello Maake ka-Ncube leading the pack alongside Jay Anstey‚ Lionel Newton and Noluthando Meje amongst others.

The film will be in cinemas August 2018.
