ECONOMIC Freedom Fighters (EFF) in the Eastern Cape decided to embark on an anti-corruption march and not to clean the streets on Nelson Mandela Day.
EFF marched on Buffalo City Metro’s City Hall to hands over a memo to mayor Zukiswa Ncitha.
EFF provincial convener Vuyisile Schoeman said the party resolved to demonstrate against corruption in municipalities.
“You will recall that senior officials of this municipality, including the mayor, are facing serious corruption charges that relate to the misappropriation of about R6-million …
"The money was directed to pockets of greedy municipal officials during the preparation of Nelson Mandela’s funeral.”
