Mthatha is where the fun will be this weekend when well-known DJ PK hosts a string of parties in the city.
Although they have battled to get support from the municipality, Dweba was confident things would soon change.
“The support has been minimal but we are hoping to impress the municipality this weekend. This event is about making Mthatha a tourist attraction and with the support of the municipality we will make it,” he said.
The event will feature the likes of Kwesta, Prince KB, Zola 7, Busiswa, Black Motion, Lulo Cafe, Major League and DJ Bongz among many others.
“We are inspired by events such as Macufe and Durban July. We are giving Mthatha people what they like with the hope of building this ‘black and gold experience’ event,” said Dweba.
On Friday night the party will take place at So What Lounge. On Saturday it moves to the Mthatha Sports Field and on Sunday it will take place at Nongoloza Car Wash.
“We will have car spinning and bikers on Saturday and there will also be a kiddies’ play area for parents to bring their children,” he said.
